We started the day with a visit to Tiger Kingdom, where we were in the enclosures with baby tigers and with adults (up to 17 months). While I had mixed emotions, as I'm guessing that drugs were used to make the adults docile, their future could have been worse in the wild. In any event, we were told that drugs were not used. (Obviously that comment came from a future politician!)
I noted precautions were taken with the cubs...washing hands, removing shoes and using shoes provided by the facility. It was fun interacting with the playful cubs, although the adults pretty much just laid around and tolerated us...which was a good thing.
